About The Festival 

IL CARNEVALE

 

St. Anthony's Annual Carnival, known by all parishioners as "Il Carnevale" was and could easily be again the outstanding social-and it might be added financial-- event of the Parish. Father Tucker had his own definition for the word "carnevale", and that definition cannot be found in any dictionary put out by Webster. According to Father Tucker, a "Carnevale" is an event deliberately arranged for the purpose of extracting money in a painless manner from people afraid to part with it in any other way.
