The Meeter House, located at 801 Capitol Trail, was honored by the Delaware Public Archives on sunday, april 23rd 2006. Now the Stanley Yasik Funeral Home opertes there. In the late 18th century Thomas Meeter established a paper mill on the banks of white Clay Creek. Later his sons purchased the property which now is the funeral home. The houe is believed to be one of the few survived frame houses built before 1828 in that area. For more information contact Delaware Public Archives 1-302-744-5048.
