Welcome to the Museum of Small Town Life where visitors can travel back in time to late 19th Century Delaware. Stroll through this museum and visit exhibits depicting a variety of 'main street' businesses and services including a general store, print shop, pharmacy, post office, and woodworking shop.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
Open most holidays; please call to confirm. Hours subject to change.

Admission

Free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.

Parking

Free parking is available behind the museum in the lot at Bank Lane and New St.

Touring the Museum

Tours of the museum are available throughout the day. However, tours for large groups require prior reservations. For more information on group tours, go to our Museum Activities page.

Shopping

The Johnson Victrola Museum History Store, located behind the Museum of Small Town Life, is full of memorabilia and fun souvenirs to complement your visit. We also offer packaged "grab bags" for school tours. The History Store accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and personal checks for your convenience. Purchases help fund our educational programs and exhibits.
